About
Practical Sailor magazine rated the Sparkman and Stevens designed Tartan 34-2 as one of the BEST all-around Racer Cruisers ever built. This is no wonder with Tartan craftsmanship, wonderful sailing characteristics, beautiful and functional interior, great deck layout and a comfortable but secure cockpit. This Tartan 34-2 has been a fresh water boat for the last 8 years and isin above average condition. She is quite well equipped and is the shoal draft Scheel keel version.
Entering from the companionway, the galley is to starboard. Compact in size it includes everything. The stainless steel sink has pressure hot and cold water. In addition there is a manual fresh water pump. Outboard from the sink is the refrigerated icebox. Forward and outboard is the three burner CNG stove and oven. To port is the large quarter berth and just forward is the fold-up navigators table with removable backrest. Forward from the nav station and galley is the main salon. A pull-out double berth is to starboard and a single to port. The dining table folds up onto the forward starboard bulkhead. Behind the two settees are teak finished cabinets. Forward of the salon is the athwartships head. A salon door and door to the forward cabin give full privacy. The head, sink and shower are to starboard. Lockers and closet are to port. The forward cabin has a v-berth. There two deck hatches and all cabin portlights open for proper ventilation.
She has been lovingly used and is available for viewing in Ottawa, Ontario. The current owner has shown a true Pride of Ownership and you will see that when you come to see this proper yacht. Regarded as an excellent coastal cruiser with blue water ability, the T34-2 is wonderfully seaworthy and sea-kindly, and an absolute joy to sail.
