Few boats have had as great an impact on serious offshore racing as the C&C 43. Powerful, close-winded, and unbeatable off the wind, the Bruckmann-built 43s dominated the SORC and Bermuda races of the early to mid-1970s. Not only are they superb sailing machines, the 43s also happen to be exceptionally beautiful yachts.
Mme Caprice is all of the above and more. With a complete Hinkley quality restoration completed in the interior and on the exterior, she is cruise-equipped and ready to go.
Sister to Mme Caprice, Long Reach is a C&C43 in original condition – i.e., with a racing deck layout and simple interior. With dry decks and hull (newly painted), she is in remarkable shape. Long Reach is ready to sail as is or is a great candidate for an interior refit. In short, she’s a blank canvas.
Iconic yachts in every sense, the 43s are still outstanding sailboats, not to mention one of George Cuthbertson’s favourite designs.
