About
This Robert Perry design was built by Mirage Yachts to provide a larger, beamier sailboat that is well laid out for cruising. With her good headroom and wide beam, she provides spacious comfort for a 33-foot boat. The hull lines of the Mirage 33 were developed to offer speed, stability and useable interior volume. The fine entry will make for good on-the-wind performance and the broad stern will extend the sailing length of the boat while contributing significantly to stability and cockpit volume. This version was later built as a 35-footer by just reversing the transom.
The starboard side quarterberth is separated from the salon by Nav station shelves. The V-Berth is roomy and for extra guests, the dinette drops to a large double bed. There is an efficient galley. The cockpit is extremely spacious and made even more comfortable by her full enclosure.
Cruising sailors value stability and the correlation with comfort under sail is obvious. The 33 Mirage is proven to be an effective club racer and a fast and efficient cruiser. She is a very roomy and capable boat that is ready for sailing and cruising.
