About
For fun, Roger ONeill started designing the O'Neill Craft boats in 2009 in Palm Beach, Florida. Over the years he had standardized many aspects of the design, such as always using the legendary 25-foot or 28-foot Bertram hulls from the 1970s and '80s, which were designed with a wide beam - 11 feet wide on the 28-foot model. And he added special touches, such as bow decoration with a chrome O'Neill Craft insignia and flares, side navigation lights and a small wooden mast on top with chrome search light and horns.
The result is TOWNSHIPSan absolutely stunning 28 foot hardtop runabout who looks like she belongs in St. Tropez, Marthas Vineyard, Miami and other high-end neighbourhoods. She has a beautifully traditional look with all the advantages of modern construction.
Her interior layout has side pilot seats, side and rear couches, traditional u-shaped dinette, engine covers and an ottoman for maximum seating. The cabinets, doors and console are two shades of varnished mahogany and accommodate a sink and refrigerator. The forward are has a v-berth with storage bins and a marine toilet.
She boasts two newer Crusader closed-cooling Captains Choice 6.0 MPI engines (GM Vortec engine with 375 hp) with less than 50 hours on them. She also has an electric bow thruster for tight-spaced maneuverability.
TOWNSHIPS is a breath-taking classic lady and will be the envy of everyone else on your lake. She is a definite must-see.
