The Carver 43 Motor Yachts exterior design resulted from collaboration between Carver and industrial design guru BMW Group DesignworksUSA. The result of the collaboration is apparentan aggressive stance with sharp lines, all seamlessly integrated. In 2006 and 2007, these yachts were known as a 43MY and in 2008, they redesignated the same boat as the 47MY.
Boarding her through the transom gate (she also has a 16-inch-wide door on each side to accommodate fixed docks), one notices that her swim platform is nearly four feet long, full-beam, and with a 1,000-pound capacity. It can easily hold a PWC or 13-foot RIB. Despite the fact that this is an optional heavy-duty hydraulic platform, it appears to be more of an extension of the hull and not a tacked-on afterthought.
While her swim platform and lower cockpit are good staging areas for water activities, most of the outdoor goings-on will likely take place on the aft deck, which is three steps up and onto the flybridge. The aft deck's wing doors and hardtop provide an escape from the weather yet still permit open-air enjoyment. The area's comfort level for boaters will likely be enhanced by her canvas enclosure.
There's also likely to be plenty of action on the flybridge, where there is easy access from the aft deck by a wide, molded-in stairway; room for four on the starboard-side, C-shape settee; two helm chairs; and, for the helmsman, a smart, easy-to-read instrument layout. Visibility forward and to port and starboard is excellent.
The aft, full-beam master stateroom, three steps down from the salon, affords a real retreat. Its location enjoys generous sunlight through windows on three sides, and with 6' 6" headroom, a walk-around queen to port with stowage below, a large cedar-lined hanging locker, and a vanity/desk to starboard. Up front, the guest stateroom is cozy. The ensuite shower is to port, separate from the head and there is stowage to port and starboard above the V-berth that'll easily handle more than a weekend's worth of a couple's belongings.
Her roomy saloon and well-appointed galley is designed to making maximum use of space. The saloon has a welcome full-beam configuration and 6'8" headroom and benefits from plenty of natural light from the big side windows and forward-facing, three-panel windshield. She is tastefully furnished, with a pair of cloth-covered chairs to port and a starboard settee that converts to a double berth. Like her galley, which is forward and three steps down to port, her salon is finished in Carver's trademark rich cherry paneling. Her galley has the essentials, like a large Nova Kool fridge/freezer, two-burner cooktop, Sharp microwave/convection oven, Black & Decker coffee maker, and plenty of counter space.
She has very low hours on two well-maintained 370 HP Volvo Penta turbodiesel engines. She is ready for her new owners to step aboard and create their family's next set of memories on the water.
