About
If you've ever dreamed of owning or building a large, capable bluewater yacht and want to get a major headstart on your project, this vessel may be the perfect choice for you. The boat is all there, 95% complete, but her interior needs final trim work in a number of areas. This Bruce Roberts 63, which is fashioned after a Roberts 53G design, is a radial-chine steel yacht with beautiful lines and a raised pilothouse. Her hull construction and welding is outstanding.
Her hull and deck are completed and the exterior was painted with a two-part metal boat paint system and shows no rust. Her pilothouse, main salon, galley, aft cabin, and crew quarters have all of the structure in place and most of the finish work done but there is some finishing left to do. The fit and finish of the woodwork throughout the vessel is good but needs some attention to detail to bring her to top-notch condition.
With total accommodations for sleeping six or seven, the aft master stateroom has a full-size walk-around queen with a head. The aft head has a full vanity, sink and tile-walled Jacuzzi tub. The forward stateroom has a Pullman-style twin bed and a separate head. The main salon is huge and includes the galley, settees, another head and nav station. Most of the galley cabinetry is in place along with a three-burner propane stove and oven and large coldplate chest fridge and freezer. The laundry room on the starboard side has a built-in washing machine. The opening ports, which are at eye level, and the opening deck hatches are all installed. The diesel engine and generator are in place and operationalas are the bow and stern thrusters. The fuel tank, fresh water tank, grey water tank and waste tanks are built in to the bilge and are also fully operational.
With all this being said, she is a very large and well-built yacht. Over 20 years of building is behind the owners on this project who have decided to sell for personal reasons. She truly is fully functional so there is a great deal of opportunity here for someone who is interested in completing this marvelous ocean-going vessel.
