The Chris Craft 292 is a versatile family boat with a still-attractive profile and an unusually spacious cockpit for a 29- interior foot cruiser. (Note that the deckhouse is set well forward on the deck to allow space aft for the large cockpit.) The hull is solid fiberglass, and a wide beam results in a fairly roomy interior.The galley will handle most basic food-prep necessities, and the standup head compartment is equipped with a shower.. Lift-out hatches in the cockpit sole provide good access to the engine compartment. An efficient performer with a pair of Crusader gas engines, the Chris Craft 292 will cruise easily at 19 knots at just 17 gallons per hourexcellent economy indeed.
