Sails and Rigging
The gaff rigged, deck stepped sail plan has 397 sq. ft.of sail area giving her an easily manageable sail plan in any weather, with the ability to have great performance in the lightest of winds. She has Schaeffer Free Flying roller furling on both the staysail and the jib, running backstays for headsail tensioning, single line reefing from the cockpit for both the first and second mainsail reefs
Mast is stepped on the deck in a substantial, stainless steel tabernacle. This is supported Stainless Steel compression post. The mast, boom, gaff and jackyards and bowsprit are douglas fir. Mast is hollow from the hounds down to reduce weight. A wiring chase accommodates VHF and nav light cables. The mast can be quickly and easily lowered and raised by a couple. All spars and the bow sprit are spruce, and were refinished .Peak and throat halyards are led aft to the cockpit through rope clutches for ease of handling. Four 2018 8 oz tankbark sails (double reef main, 2 headsails, 1 storm trisail.), plus spare main and storm sail. Offshore capsize stability ratio – makes this vessel ideal for cruising the Bahamas!

Accomodation
The amazingly spacious cabin features standing headroom, a full galley, nav station and enclosed head. It is very bright and well lit, a very comfortable space.
This layout features a wrap around salon settee that can be converted in a huge sleeping area. The table can be moved up and down on the compression post to convert to a sleeper, seat your family for dinner or open up the salon for entertaining …. The small berthing area forward can be expanded to add an additional berth.
The interior is finely finished beautiful hardwoods giving her a warm traditional feeling which is nicely complemented by the dusky blue upholstery. The cabin is surrounded by nicely designed storage with custom racks for dishes and cups. More storage forward and additional storage under the settees and berths. The galley features a 2 burner Plastimo 2000 propane stove to port with broiler. 22 gallons of water, cold manual water in the galley and the head, icebox and S.S. sink. Icebox built in below nav station. The nav area to starboard extends the galley. The sink which is built into the nav station surface, has the optional cover for ease of conversion.
There is a very nice enclosed head to port with Jabsco Marine manual head with a 20 gallon holding bladder. This is installed under the cockpit sole with a pump out on the stern deck.
To starboard is the nav station. A generous working surface with storage and easy access to the electrical panel and nav gear. There are screens for the main and forward hatches.
Engine and Mechanical
Yanmar 2GM20 18hp diesel engine in like new condition. This was an optional upgrade to the standard engine. Alpha alternator regulator, 12 gallon Stainless Steel fuel tank, remote stuffing box greaser. dual batteries for lots of power options and reserve, 3 blade bronze 14×8 prop, Bronze compression stuffing box with remote lube system. All through hulls are bronze. Whale manual bilge pump.
Deck and Hull
Full keel with cut away forefoot. Hull is solid laminate with isophthalic gelcoat. Keel hung rudder, with 3 blade bronze prop protected in an aperture. Interprotect epoxy applied when boat was originally commissioned. Deck in balsa cored with marine ply in high stress areas, like under the mast tabernacle. Hull to deck joint is both bonded and mechanically fastened.
The bowsprit is easily retractable for docking or storage. This unique feature allows greater maneuverability, smaller docks where desired, and less expensive storage.
