Hull and Deck
Hunter has done an excellent job of getting all of your favourite features into this 34 foot hull, and then provided a substantial sail area so she moves well. Trinity is fitted with a deep, winged keel for improved stability and performance.
The generous beam of 11′ 8″ is carried well aft, creating plenty of interior space for the aft cabin, a roomy cockpit and that all-important sugar scoop transom for easy access to the water for swimming or dinghy boarding.
The deck is appropriately treated with non-skid patterns which provide good traction, with double lifelines all round.
The windows, hatches and portlights in the deck, with a pair of hull portlights on each side, create an interior that is very light, well ventilated and leaves the crew connected to the natural world outside.
Rig and Sails
Using Hunter’s patented B&R rig, we have swept back spreaders on a broad base, eliminating the need for a backstay.
The Selden aluminum mast is well supported with the rig, with inboard lower shrouds and outboard cap shrouds. Intermediates and jumpers complete the rig, making for a well supported mast.
The sail plan provides a large main and modest overlapping genoa in a fractional rig, resulting in power with plenty of power that is also easy to sail. In-mast furling for the mainsail eases sail handling, reefing and stowage, and of course the jib is on a Furlex roller furler too. For extra power on the downwind legs, the cruising asym with snuffer sock adds extra power in light winds while still being easy to douse.
Trinity is equipped with good quality deck hardware, including:

Cockpit and Transom
Trinity’s cockpit offers a large, congenial U-shaped cockpit that works for both sailing and socializing. Plenty of seats, including two more “princess” seats on the aft railings.
A set of full enclosure canvas panels can be used in various combinations that range from fresh air open to fully protected from the elements.
The transom opens up to an easy walk-through to the “sugar scoop” transom with integral telescoping swim ladder and sturdy handholds. Two lazarettes on the transom provide seating as well as stowage for water toys and other equipment on starboard, with the vented propane locker that is big enough for two tanks, located on port. The hot/cold shower is close by, naturally.
The helm pedestal is integral with a center console that includes folding table leaves on both sides and integral drink holders with a solid handhold on the forward side.
Instrument mounting, engine controls and navigation chart plotter mounting are also there, right handy the helm.
The overhead arch, a Hunter trademark, keeps the mainsheet and traveler out of the way whilst also providing end-boom sheet for good mainsail control Stereo speakers and courtesy lights are also found on the arch.
A pair of cockpit lazarettes at the aft end provides ready access to equipment below as well as storage space. More storage space under the starboard seat provides the perfect space for the cockpit cushions.
Accommodations
The interior of this vessel is bright and airy, thanks to the numerous hatches, portlights and windows.
Cleanliness is obvious, and the upholstery shows few signs of wear. The teak-and-holly floor is in very good condition with excellent gloss.
From forward, we have a vee-berth arrangement in the private forward stateroom. Storage lockers at the aft end on each side provide room for clothing and personal items, and a louvered interior window from the salon provides openness or privacy when desired, whilst still allowing air flow from the large deck hatch above.
The salon is central to the living space, with a large polished hardwood table surface surrounded by the U-shaped on port. This settee and table surface convert to a bunk for extra guests when needed. A folding leaf on the starboard side includes people on the starboard settee into one large, congenial gathering space.
The aft end of the starboard settee meets the navigation station, with electrical controls, communication and a work surface ready for use as a home office or for chart work.
We have the big head compartment next aft, close to the companionway. More about that, and the galley opposite, later.
The aft cabin is surprisingly large – it is full width across the boat. Hull windows on both sides and several hatches, portlights, fan and lights on the port side allow for good light and ventilation. A hanging locker and additional stowage space provides room for your clothing and gear. There is good headroom in the entrance, and a solid door for privacy.
Galley
The U-Shaped galley is thoughtfully laid out with plenty of stowage and work surface areas.
