About

Seahawk IV is hull number 1 of the Nonsuch 36 line. Express Yachting built both the tooling & this boat before Hinterhoeller Yachts took over production. The interior is all wood with no liners & finished to a very high standard. The layout differs slightly from the production version with the large U shaped galley to port & the head & double quarterberth to starboard, Salon features opposing settees with a drop leaf centreline table. Ample storage behind the settees as well as a pilotberth on the port side. Cabin heating is provided by an Espar diesel furnace ducted throughout the interior.

All systems have been upgraded over the years & the inventory is very extensive. New Beta diesel, carbon fibre spar replaced the original aluminium one is 2010. New sail, full canvas & dinghy davits are some of the many highlights.

Sailed on Georgian Bay only.

Accommodations
Seahawk has an open spacious layout. The forward cabin has a double pullman style berth with vanity, sink & storage opposite. The berth is a custom Bamboo mattress. Like all Nonsuches, the forward hanging locker is huge & opens up into the mast step/chain locker area. The main salon has settees port & starboard with a 2 leaf centreline dining table. Behind the port settee is a pilot berth. The U shaped galley is on the port side with separate fridge & freezer compartments. The double sinks are on the centreline with hot & cold pressure water & manual pumps for sea water. Hot water is provided with a new on demand insurance friendly heater. The propane locker & tank installation is to ABYC standards. The propane stove is updated & is a 3 burner unit with oven. The is a microwave oven. Ample drawers & cabinets. Aft of the galley is the chart table,& nav center area. Lots of storage & good access to the 12v distribution panel. Starboard side is the enclosed head with electric toilet. Provision for shower. Starboard aft is the quarterberth. Teak & holly cabin sole throughout.
