When the first Hatteras 41 launched in 1960, it revolutionized the boating industry as the first large powerboat built from fiberglass. Designed for offshore fishing for four people, and fitted with an interior suitable for family cruising with a master stateroom, guest cabin, proper galley and comfortable lounging.
Snow Goose III is Hull #9 of these iconic boats.. Heavily built throughout, these hulls are literally bulletproof and this boat actually has the evidence. ( Ask about it ! )
Fitted with the original GM Detroit Diesel 6V-53 engines in good running order, and much of the original interior, this boat is a display of early 1960's luxury style. The hull is painted in period appropriate Sea Foam green Awlgrip, with complementary green canvas.
She is well equipped with updated electronics and well maintained. Both engines are in good working order. This boat has proudly been in the seller's family for over 50 years, having purchased it from the original owner in 1973. Used only seasonally in freshwater from new.
This boat is in the water and ready to go fishing or cruising, or simply as a spacious floating cottage.. She can easily handle rough water on the big lakes or open oceans in ways that newer boats simply can't do.
