The Mark Ellis designed Nonsuch 26 has enjoyed great popularity since its introduction in 1982. The Nonsuch 26 has a reputation for being much better sailing boat than one would judge from their appearance. They were built by the well respected Hinterhoeller yard in Ontario. Their spacious and bright interiors offer standing headroom, a full galley and an enclosed head. They are very comfortable for a young family, very stable and easy to sail even when one is single handing.
BOO KNOWS has a fin keel, spade rudder, and keel stepped mast. The mainsail, set on a track with slides, is easily set, reefed, furled and controlled by one person from the cockpit. Her large cockpit with a deep coaming and high cambered coach roof allows lots of space on deck and below. Two large quarterberths are separated from the settee berths by the head and galley amidships. One of the settee berths extends into a full double, and there are bins and shelves outboard of both settees.
Recent upgrades include:
BOO KNOWS is very close to being the perfect little turnkey pocket cruiser. She really must be on a list of potential considerations for the under 30 foot purchasers.
